Dottie Grantham Garland

Dottie Maxine Grantham Garland passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2017, at the age of 79.  She was born on Tuesday, December 14, 1937 in Carol, Mississippi to the late Earcell Helen Wynn Grantham and the late William Edward Grantham.  She was a resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana.

Dottie is survived by her children: daughter, Christy Lynn Schwarz and her husband Clarence; sons, Dennis Gerry Yelverton, Perry Mason Yelverton, and Jeffery Scott Garland and his wife Tracy; as well as grandchildren she and her late husband Don raised as their own, Brooke Michelle Barrere and her husband Rob, and Brian Michael Kohnken and his wife Lindsay. She is also survived by sisters, Billie Jean Waits, and Katie Amis; grandchildren, Shane Michael Yelverton and his wife Shauntele, Ivyleigh Hunter Garland, and Holly Jean Garland; and great-grandchildren, Trey, Tyler, Maia, Mattie, Benjamin, Leonidas, Lexi, and Lincoln.  

She was preceded in death by her father, William Edward Grantham; mother, Earcell Helen Wynn Grantham; husband, Don Alvaro Garland; and siblings, Jean Doxakis, John D. Grantham, Mary Ann Holmes, Delores Grantham, and William Grantham Jr.

Services were private and held by the family.
