Dorothy Yvonne Robertson

Dorothy Yvonne Robertson passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2025, in Mandeville, Louisiana, at the age of 86. She was born on Monday, February 7, 1938 in Ponchatoula, Louisiana to the late Hattie Hutchinson Harris and the late Arthur Robertson. She was a resident of New Orleans, Louisiana. Dorothy was a registered nurse, and retired at the age of 80 after 59 years of serving her community. 

Dorothy is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Pepper and Charles LaRocca; grandchildren, Casey LaRocca, Daniel LaRocca and his wife, Gina, and Madison LaRocca; great-grandchildren, Brantley Blackwell and Alana LaRocca; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Arthur Robertson; mother, Hattie Hutchinson Harris; and sisters, Gloria Klar and Deborah Abrams.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Monday, January 27, 2025, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. The visitation will continue the following day, Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at the funeral home, beginning at 10:00 AM until the funeral service begins at 1:00 PM.

Interment will follow in Old Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Independence, Louisiana.
