Dorothy Dianne Achord Mullins

Graveside services for Dorothy Dianne Achord Mullins, 81 of Albany, Louisiana will be held Thursday, October 10,2024 at 2:00 p.m. at the Carl Hodges Cemetery, Holden, Louisiana. Rev. Leslie Fogleman will officiate. Mrs. Mullins went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 29,2024 at North Oaks Hospital, Hammond, Louisiana. 

Mrs. Mullins was a longtime resident of Albany, Louisiana. She loved her church, New Beulah Baptist Church and faithfully attended until her health precluded her from doing so. She loved birds and for a number of years she and her husband raised birds. At the time of her death, she was still devoted to her cockatoo "Skipper".

Mrs. Mullins was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. and Mrs. James Achord, her husband, Noah L. Mullins, Sr. and sons, Patrick Dufour, Sidney Dufour, Jr., David Dufour and John Mullins.

Mrs. Mullins is survived by her children, Noah L. Mullins, Jr. Colorado Springs, Colorado; Darryl Mullins (Joyce) Ariel, Washington; Polly Howard (Terry) Meridian, Idaho; a daughter-in-law Kristen Dufour, Jacksonville, Florida, two brothers, Alton Achord (Maedean) Gardner, Louisiana and John Achord (Krista) Jacksonville, Florida a sister, Nita Carr (John) Jacksonville, Florida; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
