Dorothy "Dottie" Jane Young Johnson

Dorothy "Dottie" Jane Young Johnson passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 85. She was born on Tuesday, August 31, 1937 in Eunice, Louisiana to the late Ament Courville Young and the late Walter Young. She was a resident of Hammond, Louisiana.

Dottie is survived by her children, Denise Owens and her husband, Jerry, Steve LeJeune, Skipper Johnson and his wife, Trayce, Glenn Johnson and his wife, Kim, Gaye Johnson Dykes and her husband, David, and Doug Johnson and his wife, Judy; grandchildren, Angela Daniel and her husband, Jason, Trey Owens and his wife, Brandie, Tyler Owens and his wife, Lindsey, Buck Johnson and his wife, Courtney, Brock Johnson and his wife, Blaire, Kennedy Lyons and her husband, Jude, Michael Johnson and his wife, J.C., Stephen Johnson, Katie Morris and her husband, Max, Ally Bayard and her husband, James, Cooper Chavers and her husband, Blake, Matthew Johnson, Brittany St. Cyr and her husband, Brian, Ashlyn Dykes, Kyle Johnson and his wife, Rachele, and Jennifer Johnson; great-grandchildren, Brady, Connor, Charlie, Corben, Oliver, Jace, Josie, Emmitt, Silas, Reeves, Carson, Jennings, Zoey, Reese, Hadley, Hartley, Natalie, Evie, Hampton, Amelia, Junior, and Mila; brother, Jim Young and his wife, Pat; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Dottie is also preceded in death by her first husband, Dewey LeJeune; second husband, Vernon L. Johnson; and sisters, Verdy Schambaugh, Verby Schambaugh, and Bertha Shallenberger.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, Louisiana, on Friday, January 13, 2023, beginning at 9:00 AM until the funeral service begins at 11:00 AM.

Interment will follow in Holly Gardens Cemetery, Hammond, Louisiana.
