Donnie Lee Oliphant, Sr.

Donnie Lee Oliphant, Sr. passed away on Monday, May 31, 2021, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 63.  He was born on Wednesday, September 18, 1957 in Independence, Louisiana to Agnes Hano Oliphant and the late Eddie Oliphant.  He was a resident of Independence, Louisiana.

Donnie is survived by his wife, Tammy Sheldon Oliphant; mother, Agnes Hano Oliphant; son, Donnie Lee Oliphant, Jr.; Landon Sheldon; mother-in-law, Audrey Sheldon; brother-in-law, Albert "Bubba" Sheldon; sister-in-law, Carla Sharp; siblings, Catherine Tate (Junior), Gayle Restivo (Carlo), Brenda Faye Lawrence (Herbert), Debbie Russell (Vannie Ray), and Eddie Ray Oliphant (Rebecca); and first cousin, Kenneth "Tadpole" Oliphant.

He was preceded in death by his father, Eddie Oliphant; and his father-in-law, Leroy Sheldon.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Monday, June 7, 2021, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. The visitation will continue the following day, Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at the funeral home, beginning at 9:00 AM until the funeral service begins at 11:00 AM.

Interment will follow in Ford Cemetery, Independence, Louisiana.

Pallbearers for Donnie will be Albert "Bubba" Sheldon, Kenneth "Tadpole" Oliphant, Timothy "Chico" Wyatt, Bradley Russell, Joseph Restivo, Ryan Oliphant, and John Harris.
