Donna Louise (Griffith) Richardson

Donna Louise (Griffith) Richardson, 66, of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2026.

Born on October 15, 1960, in Coalinga, California, to the late David and Alice Griffith, Donna spent much of her childhood traveling and living throughout the United States. Her journey eventually led her to Louisiana, where she made her home and built a life surrounded by those she loved.

Donna had a heart for children and a special love for animals of all kinds. As a speech pathologist for the Tangipahoa Parish school system, she dedicated her career to helping children find their voices, build confidence, and reach their fullest potential. Her work was more than a profession; it was a reflection of her compassion, patience, and genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of others.

Those who knew Donna will remember her strong will, unwavering determination, and deeply empathetic heart. She was a woman of strength and conviction, yet she carried a tenderness for those who needed kindness and understanding. She cared deeply and loved fiercely.

Donna’s life was centered around what mattered most to her: her devoted husband, her beloved daughter, the countless students whose lives she touched, and the cherished pets who brought her so much joy. She poured her heart into those she loved, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, strength, and unwavering devotion. Though her absence leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who knew and loved her, the memories she created and the love she so freely gave will live on forever.

Donna is survived by her loving husband, Chris Richardson; her daughter, Jaclyn (Richardson) Stubblefield, and son-in-law, Sam Stubblefield; and her siblings, David Earl Griffith (Robin), Damon Griffith (Amie) of Portales, New Mexico, Davina Jaynes (Gary) of San Antonio, Texas, Dodi Griffith of Portales, and Desiree Griffith of Rio Rancho, New Mexico.

She also leaves behind her beloved nieces and nephews, Nathaniel Griffith (Sammantha), Sarah Martinez (Erick), Emily Griffith, Davina Jaynes, Zi Eakins, Rhia Eakins, Anja Eakins, December Griffith, Selwyn Griffith, and Eulalie Norton, along with extended family and loved ones who will cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Alice Griffith, and her nephew, Harry Harbuck.

A private celebration of Donna’s life will be held at a later date, where close friends and family will gather to honor her memory, share cherished stories, and remember the love and joy she brought into their lives.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Louisiana Humane Society in Donna’s memory, honoring her lifelong love and compassion for animals.
