Donna Mae Mccahill Stanga

Donna Mae McCahill Stanga, of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away at her home on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at the age of 89. She was born on July 9, 1932, the daughter of the late Jim and Millie McCahill. Donna was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was a wonderful wife and mother dedicated to making a warm happy home. Donna loved reading, she was a member of the Home Demonstration Club, and she often volunteered at the hospital and the Crisis Hotline.

Donna is survived by her husband, Frank Stanga; son, Brian Stanga and wife Jeannie Stanga; granddaughter, Savannah Stanga and her family; brother, Winfield "Bill" McCahill and wife Jeanette McCahill; sister, Kathleen "Kaye" McCahill Lavigne and husband Travis Lavigne; her closest friend, Virginia Aucoin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her sons, Frank Harmon Stanga, Jr. and Scot Arthur Stanga.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454 on Thursday, December 23, 2021 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am.

A Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 am, with Deacon Larry Melancon officiating.
