Donna "Dee" Dehnel

Donna "Dee" Dehnel, 63 years old of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 21, 2016, at the Richard Murphy Hospice House surrounded by her loving family.

Dee is survived by her life partner, Laura Trent; sister, Sally Kyzar; brother, Mike Dehnel; numerous nieces and nephews, and especially loved by, Gayle, Pam, Brandon, and Jessica; also, her beloved fur babies, Sadie, Jaxson, Possum, Troi, and Buffie.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Ellen McGowan Milioto; father, Vernon Dehnel; 2 brothers, Samuel Thomas Recatto and Patrick Richard Dehnel; aunt, Helen McGowan Rhodus; and niece, Carla Kyzar Downing.

Friends will be received Tuesday, December 27, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from 8:00 am until funeral services begin at 11:00 am. in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Hammond, Louisiana.
