Donald "Don" Ernest Gandolfo

Donald "Don" Ernest Gandolfo, 80 years old of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away on Monday,December 3, 2018, at his home with his family by his side. He was born on Monday, October 3, 1938, in New Orleans, Louisiana to Joseph Rene and LucilleChoppin Gandolfo. Don enjoyed life and loved LSU, American history, reading, crosswords,camping and building WWII model planes, but he especially loved spending time with his family.  

Don is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, June Hunn Gandolfo, June's children, Sandra Falcon and her husband Darryl, Rene A. Gandolfo, Jr. and his wife is Laura, ,David Gandolfo and his companion Maryann, Brian Gandolfo, Michael Gandolfo and his wife Debbie, Glenn Gandolfo and his wife Alisa, Keith Gandolfo and Suzanne G. Pitts and her husband Marty, 15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren,his brother, Rene A. Gandolfo, Sr., also many nieces, nephews and close friends. 

Don is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Rene and Lucille Choppin Gandolfo, his step-son, Duane Gandolfo and his grandson, Ashley Gandolfo. 

A Private service will be held at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers the familywishes memorial donations to be made to St Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St.Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in memory of Donald E. Gandolfo.
