Donald Bankston

Donald Samuel Bankston Sr., 75 years old of Tickfaw, Louisiana, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2016, at his residence. Donald was born on Wednesday, July 23, 1941, in Baton Rouge. He was a retired dairy supply man and cattle artificial insemination expert. Surviving are daughter, Melanie Ann Bankston Patterson, son, Donald Bankston, Jr., son & daughter-in-law, Charles and Christina Bankston; grandchildren, Jason and David Ross, Sambo, Marshall and Billy Bankston, also survived by 9 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Linda Hodges and Brenda Mulkey; brothers, Ronnie and John Bankston. He is preceded in death by wife, Melanie Causey Bankston, parents, Sam and EstelleBankston. Friends will be received Monday, August 15, 2016 from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Hammond, and on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until services at noon. Services will be held at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Hammond, Tuesday, at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Stafford Cemetery Holden, Louisiana.
