Diane Mcconnell Bell

Diane McConnell Bell received her “angel wings” on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at the age of 59. She was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on August 4, 1958. Diane was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend and nurse. She was a long-time member of the United Methodist Church in Springfield where she taught Sunday School for years. 

Diane is survived by her loving husband of 44 years Larry Thomas Bell, her daughter Melissa Lynn Bell, by her son, Jeremy Thomas Bell and his wife Amanda, her grandchildren, Phoenix Gabriel Blaine Pichon, Blaine Thomas Penn, Blakely Blair Bell and Tenley Kate Bell, her step father Bill Haug, her sisters, Dawn Aultman and Debbie Ellington and her husband Gary, her brothers, Whit McConnell and his wife Wendy, Willy Haug and his wife Heather and John Haug and his wife Erin, also many nieces, nephews and close friends. 

She is preceded in death by her son Kevin Blaine Bell, her parents, Ira W. McConnell and Harlene Fontenot Haug, and her in-laws, Lawrence T. and Norma Trilby Bell. 

A Memorial Visitation for Diane will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the United Methodist Church in Springfield. A Memorial Service Celebrating Diane's Life will immediately follow visitation at 1:00 pm in the church.
