Diane Marie Brown Strickland

Diane Marie Brown Strickland was born September 1, 1946, in Lake Okeechobee, FL, to the late Norman and Joyce Martin Brown. She passed away January 17, 2025, at Our Lady of The Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge. She was a resident of Tickfaw, a parishioner of Holy Ghost Catholic Church, and a retired secretary for Southeastern Louisiana University. Diane loved working in her yard, watching LSU football, and spending time with her dog “Buddy”. She is survived by her daughter, Tiffini Ellis (Robbie); son, Frank Sanchez, Jr. (Andrea); sister, Judy Vavasseur (Glyn); grandchildren, Lane Ellis (Shelby), Austin Ellis (Abby), Tracy Sanchez, and Morris Sanchez (Katelyn); great grandchildren, Rohen, Berkleigh, Zaileigh, Elayna, Melodie, Chase, and Milah; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Diane is preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Ed Strickland; and three sisters, Norma Pansano, Jackie Mann, and Cindy Bernard. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, from 9:00 a.m. until funeral services at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Steven Spring. Entombment will follow at Our Lady of Pompeii Cemetery, Tickfaw.
