Dennis Matthews

Robert Dennis Matthews passed away on Monday, March 25, 2019, in his home at the age of 69.  He was born on Monday, January 16, 1950 in Hammond, Louisiana to the late Jessie Havard and the late Dairl Matthews.  He was a resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana.

Robert is survived by his daughters, Tammy Cooper (Mike), Mandy Fuller (Richard), and Hayley McGlothren (Bart); sisters, Carol Morse, Bonnie Methvin, Donnie Pregeant, and Debbie Bardwell; brother, Buddy Matthews; granddaughters, Carly Fauntleroy, Ashley Rose, Morgan Fuller, Mackenzie Fuller, Jordan Martin, Maegan McGlothren, and Gabby McGlothren; grandson, Brandon McGlothren;and 8 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Dennis was also preceded in death by his brother, Eugene Matthews and his great-granddaughter, Laela McGlothren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula, 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Thursday, March 28, 2019 from 10:00 AM until the Funeral Service begins at 12:00 PM.  

Interment will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery, Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
