Denmon Lee

Denmon was born November 15, 1936 in Folsom, LA to the late Elias and Rosan Reid Lee, and passed away May 3, 2021 in Hammond, LA at age 84.  He was a native and life long resident of Folsom, a member of Lee Hill Baptist Church, and retired from Equitable Shipyard with over forty years of service.  In his retirement years, he enjoyed tending to his sheep, gardening, and visiting with friends and relatives, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his children, Donald Lee (Gabby), Scott Lee (Jeannie), and Sherry Penalber; step-son, Malcolm Anthony (Linda), step-daughter, Nena Anthony; brother, Earl  “Tucker” Lee; grandchildren, Dustin Lee (Alisha), Darrin Lee and fiancée, Kelsie, Tracy Guidry (Travis), Jessica Bignar (Wesley), and Katlyn Lee;  step grandson, Brandon Anthony (Jamie); eleven great grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.  He is preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Goynes Lee and second wife, Irene Williams Lee; son, Denmon “Denny” Lee; and siblings, Orealia Lee Baham, Robert E. Lee, Louis “Cooper” Lee, Mary Ann “Molly” Lee Anthony, Audrey Lee Baham, and Lois Lee Thompson.  Visitation will be held at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, Thursday, May 6, 2021, from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visitation continues at Lee Hill Baptist Church, 11007 Lee Settlement Road, Folsom, Friday, May 7, 2021, from 9:00 am until religious services at 11:00 am conducted by Rev. Ronnie Douglas and Rev. Dustin Lee.  Interment will follow in Elias Lee Cemetery, Folsom.  Pallbearers will be Buddy Lee, Wesley Bignar, Travis Guidry, Darrin Lee, Dennis Lee, and Carl Edward Baham.
