Denise Lorraine Russell, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2025, at her home. She was 58 years old. She was born on Friday, November 18, 1966, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Denise is survived by her husband, Raymond Russell, Jr.; daughter, Lacy Alexandria Burks (Wesley Starkey); sons, Tony McElveen (Kayla Clausen), Dalton McElveen (Stephanie Harvey), Corey McElveen (Desiree Granger), Gary Burks Jr. (Jade Adams) and Cody Russell; She is also survived by Hershel Burks, whom she considered a father and Cynthia Burks whom she considered a mother. grandchildren, Haley, Gary Michael, Lexiann, Duncan, Lakota, Lalana, Latrinity, Kian and Ivy Ann; siblings, Sharon, Duke and Jimmy Beasley; brother-in-law, Thomas Darwin Russell (Edna), sister-in-law's, Ramona Ann Russell Elizabeth Forrest (Brian) and Nancy Morris (Calvin).

She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil Beasley and Dorothy Meisner Beasley, also her former husband, Gary Burks.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Denise's visitation on Thursday, April 17th. from 10:00a.m. until 1:00p.m. The funeral service will begin 1:00p.m. at Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home, 100 West Magnolia Street, Ponchatoula LA. 70454.

Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery, Springfield, Louisiana.
