Delores "June" Barron Bickford Sprouse

Delores “June” Barron Bickford Sprouse passed away peacefully on Monday, February 19, 2024, in Houston, TX at the age of 81. She was born on August 27, 1942, to the late William “Bill” and “Birdie” Ellen Barron from Natalbany, LA. She is survived by her husband, Donald Sprouse of Shepherd, TX; daughter, Terry (Larry) Bona of Burkeville, TX; son, Ronald “Buddy” (Connie) Bickford of Ponchatoula, LA; grandchildren, Brad and Jason Bickford, Cody Vicknair, Trevor Bickford, Briklan Bona; great grandchildren, Elena, Beau, and Amara Bickford; siblings, Jimmy Barron, David Barron, Vickie Harper, Kathy Sullivan and William Barron. She is preceded in death by her first husband James “Jimmy” Bickford; daughter, Sandra Kay Arnold; son, Wallace “Wally” Bickford; grandson, Jake Ryan Bickford; brother, Charles Barron; and sister, Donna Wiley.  June was a lover of music, flowers, and good food. She was also a great cook. She was the biggest cheerleader of her family, racing anything with an engine on it. She managed several Dollar General stores in the Hammond and Ponchatoula area. She was loved and will be missed by many. Friends and family will be received at Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home Sunday, February 25, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. until 1p.m. The service will begin at 1pm. Interment will be at Mt. Stevens Cemetery.
