Delores "Dee" Ann Miller Di Mattia, age 76, resident of Independence and native of New Orleans made her journey home to meet the Father on Friday, May 8, 2020. Â She was born on Tuesday, October 12, 1943, in New Orleans, Louisiana to William Fredrick Miller and Alice Louise Abreo Holmes.Â
Dee is survived by her biological children, Tommy Di Mattia, Sr. and Tammy Di Mattia, her adopted son, Anthony "Tony" Di Mattia, her stepchildren, Luke Di Mattia III, JoAnn Lupo, Patricia Risinger and Pricilla Sanders, and her beloved niece, Teri Smith, 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, and her brothers, Alfred Miller and Paul Holmes, also many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.Â
Dee was greeted in the afterlife by her husband, Luke Di Mattia, Jr., her parents, William Fredrick Miller and Alice Louise Abreo Holmes, her grandsons, Quinten Erwin and David Di Mattia, and her brother, Joseph Miller, as well as many other loved ones.
A private graveside service for Dee will be held at Colonial Cemetery in Independence with a memorial at a later date.Â
