Debra Anne Granger Gandolfo

Debra Anne Granger Gandolfo, of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at the age of 67. She was born on November 26, 1958, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the daughter of the late James Monroe Granger, Sr. and Eva Nell Cannon Granger.

Debbie was the kind of person everyone noticed when she walked into a room. She carried herself with a graceful presence and was the most elegant person anyone could meet, always put together with a beautiful, confident style. Along with that outward grace, she had a wonderful sense of humor that brought lightness and joy to those around her.

More importantly, Debbie was known for the goodness of her heart. She was caring, loving, and generous in spirit, a woman whose heart of gold was felt by all who knew her. She adored her children and, most of all, her grandchildren, who were among the greatest joys of her life. To them, she was lovingly known as “Maw Maw Rock Rock,” a name that grew from the tender way she would rock them in her arms.

Her greatest love was her husband, Michael. They were junior high school sweethearts who met when they were just 14 years old, and together they built a connection so close that those who knew them often saw them as inseparable, like “bread and butter.” Their love stood as a lasting example of devotion and companionship.

Debbie also shared an especially close relationship with her daughter Candice and granddaughter Ava. They were affectionately known as the “The Triplets.” They shared so much joy together and made countless special memories.

Debbie will be remembered for her beauty, her warmth, her laughter, and the deep love she gave so freely. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her and to be loved by her.

Debbie is survived by her beloved husband of 47 years, Michael Gandolfo, Sr.; son, Michael Gandolfo, Jr. (Jonae); daughter, Candice Gandolfo Davis (Chris); grandchildren, Colton Ciuzio, Michael Gandolfo, III, Gage Gandolfo, Ava Davis, and Coy Davis; brothers, John Granger and David Granger (Patricia); and godchild, Paul Catalanotto.

In addition to her parents, Debbie was preceded in death by her brother, James Monroe Granger, Jr., and sister, Eva Nell Lavigne.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454 on Sunday, August 30, 2026 from 9:00 am until the funeral service begins at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow at Wetmore Cemetery in Ponchatoula, Louisiana.

Pallbearers will be Colton Ciuzio, Michael Gandolfo, III, Chance Gandolfo, Paul Catalanotto, Sr., Paul Catalanotto, Jr., and Brady Jennings.
