Deborah Ann Posey Griggs Stanga, of Bedico, Louisiana, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, April 10, 2026, at the age of 75. She was born on April 27, 1950, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Otis Warren Posey Jr. and Theresa Audrey Watts Posey.
Deborah was a remarkable woman, whose life was shaped by her unwavering faith and generous spirit. She was a deeply faithful woman and a true prayer warrior. Deborah blessed every meal, prayed constantly for her family and friends, and was a member of many different churches. Her generosity was boundless. Whenever Deborah had an abundance-be it food, clothing, or money-she sought out those in need, eager to share and uplift others. This selflessness was part of her very nature, shining through in every act of kindness, large or small. Deborah’s adventurous spirit and confident attitude defined much of who she was. She believed she could accomplish anything and approached life with a courageous heart. She served as a Reserve Deputy for the Tangipahoa Sheriff’s Office, and had a passion for operating heavy equipment. Deborah was a true inspiration whose spirit endures in the hearts of her family and loved ones.
Deborah is survived by her loving husband, Allen A. Stanga, Jr.; children, Tracey Lynn Stanga, Anthony Wayne Griggs, and Clifford Griggs (Tracey Elaine); grandchildren, Corinne Tuggle (Jacob), Fletcher White (Juliette), Dylan Anthony Griggs, Madison Lynn Griggs, Chad Michael Sider, Chase Anthony Sider, and Carley Elaine Griggs; great-grandchildren, Gage, Sophia, and Arabella; sister, Charlette Posey Theriot (Marvin); nieces and nephews, Matthew, Colleen, Laura, Jimmy, and Cody; and her sweet dog, Baby.
In addition to her parents, Deborah was preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Sullivan Posey.
A special thank you goes out to her sister, Charlette Theriot, cousin, Becky Bluntzer, and nephew, Jimmy Sticker for the various ways they supported Deborah's comfort and care, and guided the family through this loss.
