Deanna Mae Kerek Kennedy

Deanna Mae Kerek Kennedy entered eternal rest on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 83. She was born on Monday, September 2, 1940 to the late Bea Hebert Kerek and the late Paul Kerek. She was a resident of Springfield, Mandeville, and Folsom, Louisiana. Born in Albany, Deanna attended Albany High School before continuing her education at Southeastern Louisiana University. She was employed by First National Bank for over 20 years until her retirement. She was a devoted wife to her husband of 53 years, Larry Kennedy. Deanna was also a devoted mother to her children, Crystal, Troy, and Scott.

Deanna is survived by her son, Scott Kennedy; grandchildren, Brittany Dutruch, Ross McFadden, Breanna Jarrell, Logan Martin, Makayla Holden, Alyssa Kennedy, and Noah Kennedy; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Jerome Kerek; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Deanna was also preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Larry Kennedy; children, Crystal Kennedy McFadden and Troy Kennedy; and sister, Jackie Kerek Moore.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass at St. Margaret Catholic Church, 30300 Catholic Hall Road, Albany, Louisiana 70711, on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at 11:00 AM. 

Interment will follow in St. Margaret Catholic Church Cemetery, Albany, Louisiana.
