Dominick Augustus Spano

Dominick Augustus Spano passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, in Hammond, Louisiana at the age of 89. He was born on Wednesday, August 26, 1936 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Rosa Spano and the late Frank Spano. He was a resident of Hammond, Louisiana.

Dominick is survived by his Son, David Spano (Tammy); Daughter, Elizabeth Gabriel (Tony); Grandchildren, Nickolas Spano (Barbara), Eric Ridgel, Destinee Matthews (Michael), Caitlin McFadden (Justin), and Cameron Spano; Great-Grandchildren, Dean Wingrove, Dominick Spano, and Waylon Spano, and Brother, David Spano (Roselyn).

He was preceded in death by his Wife, Barbara Sue Spano; Son, Dominick A. Spano, Jr.; Father, Frank Spano; Mother, Rosa Spano; Siblings, June Spano Cawvey, Frank F. Spano Jr., and John Douglas Spano. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home on 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Monday, June 15, 2026 at 1:00 pm. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm.

Interment will follow in Holly Gardens Cemetery, Hammond, Louisiana.
