David Dionne, 54, of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away on June 16, 2026.
Born May 2, 1972, in Mobile, Alabama, David lived a life defined by compassion, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to helping others. He was a devoted husband, loving father, caring son and brother, trusted friend, and respected healthcare professional whose impact on the lives of others will be remembered for years to come.
David is survived by his wife, Michelle Allulli Dionne; daughters, Cameron and Alexis Dionne; his mother, June Warren; his brothers, Michael and Raymond Dionne; his nephews; and many extended family members. He was preceded in death by his father, Marcel Dionne.
As a Nurse Practitioner, David found his true calling in caring for others. He treated every patient with empathy, respect, and genuine concern, earning the admiration of colleagues and the gratitude of countless individuals and families. His compassionate nature and ability to make others feel seen and valued left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. It was often said that David never met a patient who didn't love him - a testament to the warmth, sincerity, and dedication he brought to his work each day.
Beyond his career, David embraced life with enthusiasm and joy. He loved spending time outdoors hunting and fishing, traveling to new places, and making memories with family and friends. Whether sharing stories, lending a helping hand, or simply enjoying the company of those he loved, David brought laughter, comfort, and kindness wherever he went. He was also a devoted Star Wars fan, whose love of the iconic saga reflected his enduring sense of wonder, adventure, and humor.
Above all, David will be remembered for his generous heart, selfless spirit, and the genuine care he showed to everyone around him. He lived a life of service, always willing to help those in need and always putting others before himself. His legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched, the family he cherished, and the example of compassion and integrity he set for all who knew him.
Though he will be deeply missed, David's memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know and love him.
Friends and family are invited to the visitation on Thursday, June 25, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home, 2000 North Morrison Blvd. Hammond LA. 70401. There will be a funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 4:00 p.m.
