David lived a very active and adventurous life. He played football at Warren Easton High School.

He was with the New Orleans firefighters from 1969 to 1974, and was one of many injured on December 28th, 1971, in a warehouse fire. He lost consciousness, regained life and recovered. His adventures were just beginning. David moved to Utah where he worked at the Utah State Correctional Facility from 1986 to 2001. He was a member of the SWAT team, a K9 officer and agent with the division of adult probation and parole. David and Bill worked on a task force on violent gangs with the FBI from time to time around 2000, and they were both assigned to a special team that were body guards for Mitt Romney at the Olympics.

When he wasn't chasing bad guys, he jumped off mountains with hang gliders and skied the major Western mountains, working as a ski patroller and instructor. When he retired, he moved back to Louisiana and reconnected with his daughter, Kristie, many cousins and friends while keeping in touch with coworkers. He loved Shepherds, whom he trained his beloved Lady, Rex and Bosco. He continued to stay as physically fit as possible utilizing his weight room, riding his bicycle, playing tennis with Jerry, softball with Tommy and friends. All who said he was a terrific athlete. A serious back injury from his days on the police force and subsequent surgery slowed him down. However, he still loved walking Bosco around the neighborhood and having many conversations and Italian style arguments with his neighbors Lynn, Bruce and Dianne.

He had a terrific and quirky sense of humor which was on display throughout his life and that humor helped him cope with his illness.

A life well lived; remembering you will be easy. We will always carry your memory in our hearts.
