Darleene Mary Watkins Sharp

Darleene Mary Watkins Sharp  passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2016, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 83.  She was born on Monday, October 24, 1932, in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Lurline Kent Watkins and Charles Watkins.  She resided in Metairie, LA with her husband, Quentin for 53 years prior to moving to Ponchatoula in 2006.  She was a 1950 graduate of Holy Name of Jesus.

Darleene is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Bruce & Susan Sharp, daughter & son-in-law, Susan Sharp Thomas & Bill Thomas, son & daughter-in-law, Kent & Heidi Sharp, and son & daughter-in-law, Wayne & Elizabeth Sharp; seven grandchildren, Billy Thomas, Kristen Thomas Story, Casey Thomas, Matthew Sharp, Mason Sharp, Emma Sharp, and Sophie Sharp; one great-grandchild, Peyton; and her sister & brother-in-law, Charleene "Sunny" & Joe Mayeux.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Quentin James Sharp; and her parents, Charles and Lurline Kent Watkins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Graveside Services at Rose Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum, 908 Western Avenue, Hammond, LA, on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at 10:00 am.
