Daniel Lee Neumann, from Ponchatoula, LA passed away July 2, 2025, at the age of 81. He was born on May 31, 1944 in Michigan City, IN the son of William and Edna Neumann.
Dan obtained a PhD in Polymer Chemistry at Akron University. He went on to have a distinguished career inventing many products for the companies he worked for such as the coatings on bowling lanes and pins, a Teflon-like product and a coating that no one could duplicate for DuPont resulting in the improvement of products that we all enjoy daily.
He is survived by his wife, Barb Neumann, son, Brett and daughter, Shari, (spouse Dylan O’Connor) and 11 grandchildren Elijah, Kayln, Whitney, Jonah, Jasmine, Charles, Christopher, Emma, Rohin, Brandon and Ethan, one great-granddaughter, Julianna and Dawn McCue (former wife of Michael).
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Edna, brother, William, son, Michael, nephew, Steven and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
