Daniel Lee Anderson, 65, of Ponchatoula, unexpectedly crossed over on February 11th. He is survived by his "lady love", his wife of 47 years, Dolores. He is also survived by their two children Joshua (Charlotte) and Tiffany. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ronald and Nadine, and survived by his brothers Donald, Steve, Terry (Kim), and Tom (Sue).
Originally from St Charles IL, Dan loved fly fishing so much, he wouldn't part from his fishing collection despite moving away from salmon country five years ago. Dan was extremely proud of his work ethic and enjoyed his time as a cereal processor at General Mills for over thirty years, forming lifetime friendships with many co-workers. In recent years, he enjoyed semi-retirement in Louisiana while working part-time in sales at Home Depot. Dan loved reading science fiction and fantasy books, gardening, strong cups of coffee, trying to correctly solve Final Jeopardy, spending quality time with his pets Luna and Lucy, and watching YouTube videos of his favorite musicians including The Revivalists, Billy Strings, and Chris Stapleton.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to reconnect with an old friend over coffee and to treasure lifeâs simple pleasures with those who bring peace to your heart.
