Dana L. Horner

Dana L Horner, wife, mother, daughter, friend to all. She went into the arms of Jesus Saturday, April 17th at the age of 48. She was born on December 2, 1972 at Lallie Kemp in Independence, Louisiana. She graduated in1991 from Ponchatoula High School, she also served in the Navy. Dana loved and lived life to the fullest. She worked as an insurance adjuster, as it was one of her biggest accomplishments, she also loved acting. Dana was reunited after 30 years with her high school sweetheart, Donald and spent the last two years together. She loved all of her family, children and grandchildren more than life itself. She had a bubbly, goofy personality, and would give you the shirt off of her back. Although she may be gone her journey has just begun.

 

Dana was proceeded in death by her father David Richard Smith Sr., and granny Zelma White. She was survived by her husband DonaldHorner, mother Sheryl Achord, step father Earl Achord, daughter Summer Johnson, son in law Nicolos Scott, son Randall Johnson Jr, step daughter Katherine Horner, grandchildren Nicolos, Karson, and Kameron Scott, brother and sister inlaw David and Lori Smith, sister Danyelle Green, half sister Theresa Smith, step brother Earl Achord Jr.III aunt and uncle Connie and Bobbie Depew, Pam and John Reiken, Maudine and George Griggs, Patsy Lenze Nieces and nephews Skyler and Chris Montoya, Zachary Green, Carmen Jones, Casey Ann, and great nieces Sky Hope, and Sofia Montoya, and many cousins and extended family.

 

Family and friends are welcome to join us in the celebration of Dana’s life.

Her services will be held at the Harry Mckneely in Hammond, LA at 10:00am (9:00am visitation for immediate family).
