Dale E. Ott

Dale E. Ott was born July 3, 1952, in Hammond, LA, to the late Odell and Helen Drude Ott. He passed away in Hammond, October 11, 2026. Dale was a resident of Ponchatoula. He is survived by his step daughter, Mary Sciortino (Samuel); sister, Cathy Lofton; step grandchildren, Laken and Samuel Sciortino II (Christina); and many nieces and nephews including Trey Lofton, who looked upon Dale as a father. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Edna Ott. Visitation will be held Friday, October 16, 2026, at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 100 W. Magnolia Street, Ponchatoula, from 9:00 am until funeral services at 11:00 am. A private interment will follow at a later date. Special thanks to the Ponchatoula Fire Department for the many trips made to Dale's home, Ponchatoula Community Care Center staff for their compassionate care, and to Notre Dame Hospice, especially, Hannah, who was always there as needed.
