Dale James Carver

Dale James Carver of Hammond, Louisiana passed peacefully at home on October 25, 2019. He was born in New Orleans, the second of six children to Lester James and Eltie Margaret Guillot Carver.

He is survived by Frances Marie Carver, his wife of 58 years, three daughters; Annadora, Renee (Alan) Mosley, Julia (Art) Harris and seven grandchildren; James and Jonathan Carver; Morgan, Carly and Nicholas Mosley; Chase and Clara Harris. Dale is also survived by a host of family and friends who he loved and cherished during his walk through this life.

Dale was a good man and a friend to all - he truly never met a stranger. He served his Country in the United States Army, stationed in Busaq, France where he and Frances began their family. Dale was a Free Mason, and those who knew him encountered a wise man with a great sense of humor. He retired from Shell after over 20 years of service as an electrician and could seemingly fix anything. Dale threw himself into his hobbies, photography and woodwork which he used along with his skills as an electrician to bless his family and friends.

Dale’s true passion was his love for Frances and they built a life and love that will survive his passing and forever be a model to those of us blessed enough to have see their love shine.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation for Dale on Monday, October 28, 2019, at Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home, 2000 N Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, beginning at 9:00 AM until the funeral service begins at 11:00 AM.
