Cova Roberts Holland

Cova Roberts Holland passed away in the early morning of Sunday, December 13, 2020 surrounded by family at the age of 74. She was born in Port Arthur, Texas. She moved to Ponchatoula with her family as a senior in high school where she remained a lifelong resident. She was a graduate of Ponchatoula High School. She retired from the Department of Children and Family services where she left her mark on the hearts of all those she met and made lifelong friends along the way. A servant of our Lord, Cova was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Ponchatoula.

She is survived by her sister, Suzann Roberts; children, Kimberly Cockrell (Brandon), Truman Holland Jr, and Mandi Bernard (Brian); grandchildren, Matthew Claunch (Jamie), Santana Holland, Courtney Martinez, and Berklei and Gage Bernard; and great grandchildren, Graycen, Hayden, Kaylin, Tristin, Gabriel, and Elijah Claunch.

Preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Truman Holland Sr; father, Todd Raymond Roberts; mother, Charles Martin Roberts; son, Stephen Holland; and grandsons, Joshua and Adam Claunch.

To know Cova was to love her, an angel on earth with a kind, beautiful and generous soul. She was a selfless giver with a heart of gold. She had many friends whom she loved and loved her dearly. Spending time with her family meant everything to her. She truly was the brightest light in the room. She will be so very missed by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
