Columbus Joseph Baham, Jr.

Columbus Joseph Baham, Jr. peacefully passed away at home on Thursday, April 17, 2025, in Independence, Louisiana, at the age of 65. He was born on Sunday, March 6, 1960 in Independence, Louisiana to the late Jettie and Rev. Columbus Baham, Sr. He was a resident of Independence, Louisiana.

Columbus is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Wanda Beam Baham; children, Jesica Baham Redden (Mark), Columbus Baham, III (Kelsey), Samule Baham (Montana), and Cindy Baham Anthony (Byrun Sr.); grandchildren, Byrun Anthony, Jr., Columbus Baham, IV, Carley Baham, Annabell Anthony, Austen Redden, Samantha Baham, Phoenix Hembree, Wyatt Redden, Londen Baham, and Alayna Polezcek; siblings, Debbie Oulliber (Huey, Sr.) and Andrew Baham; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jettie and Rev. Columbus Baham, Sr.; and grandparents, Mary Lucille and Gus Baham.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401. Visitation will continue Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 9:00 am until services begin at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow in St. Roch Cemetery, Husser, Louisiana.

Attendees are invited to join the family for a gathering following the services and are welcome to bring a dish of their choice.
