Clyde Gordon, age 82, peacefully passed away at his residence on Monday, June 5th, 2023, surrounded by his family.  He was born and raised in Robert, Louisiana. After many years as a welder/pipe fitter, he was able to do what he loved most, being on the water.  He was one of the most knowledgeable commercial crab and shrimp fishermen around, who mentored many fishermen throughout the years.  Clyde was a self-reliant man who could do and fix anything in his path and would help anyone who needed an extra hand, from vehicles to sheetrock, he could do it.  He and his friends enjoyed fishing in Bass Tournaments and always came home with a prize.  His favorite place was in his boat on the water, it didn't matter where. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his daughter, Renee Gordon; granddaughter, Amanda Harp and husband Alex; great-grandson, Weston Brown; sister, Shirley Gordon Pellichino and husband Joe Pete; nephew, Brad Pellichino and wife Rebecca; niece, Paige Pellichino Mullins and husband Brian; as well as his longtime friend, Ernestine Howes.
Preceding him in death were his grandson, Joshua Goulden; brother, David Gordon; and his parents, Preston and Evelyn Gordon.
Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service on Friday, June 16th, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond.  Services will be officiated by Bro. Mervin Strother.  The family will have a private burial at a later date.
