Clint Henry Penalber

“For as we share abundantly in Christ’s sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too.” 2 Corinthians 1:5. Our beloved husband, father, brother, son, uncle and friend, Clint Henry Penalber, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2023. Clint was born on February 13, 1974, to Emanuel and Betty Penalber. His short 49 years on this earth impacted so many lives, and through organ donation, he will impact more lives in his death. He loved to sing and was currently the music minister at Holden Baptist Church. He also loved teaching. Over the last 19 years, he touched the lives of many students and co-workers across three parishes. His heart for God and his heart for teaching will be greatly missed.

Clint is survived by his wife of 25 years, Laura Foster Penalber; sons Tyler Penalber and fiance Tori; Marcus Penalber and girlfriend Brynlee; sisters Donna (Jim) Ward and Tonya Penalber; brother Jeff Penalber; father Emanuel Penalber; in-laws Alton and Jimmie Foster and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his mother Betty Penalber; grandparents Bush and Ettievie Penalber and Eugene and Corrine St. Cyr; and niece Courtney Edwards.

Pallbearers will be Hunter McKinney, James Ward, Brock Reno, Gabriel Edwards, David Freeman and Tyler Thompson. Honorary pallbearers will be Ethan Edwards, Austin Wall, the men of his Celebrate Recovery Program and the Holden Rockets Basketball Team.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, Louisiana 70401  on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visitation will continue at Funeral Home Chapel in Hammond on Thursday, from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM.

A Funeral Service will be held at Funeral Home Chapel in Hammond, 2000 N. Morrison Boulevard, Hammond, Louisiana  on Thursday at 1:00 PM.

Interment will follow at Stafford Cemetery in Holden, Louisiana.
