Claire DeMont Cosgrove

Claire DeMont Cosgrove, of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at the age of 94. She was born on December 4, 1928, in New Orleans, Louisiana, the daughter of the late Frederick DeMont and Clotilde Andre DeMont.

Claire is survived by her children, Eddie Cosgrove Jr. (Cindy), Andy Cosgrove Sr. (Carol), and Lydia  Cosgrove; grandchildren, Tina Cosgrove, Karla Stroud (Doug), Ben Cosgrove, and Adam Cosgrove; great grandchildren, Kayla Holiday and Sawyer Stroud; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Claire was preceded in death by her husband, Edward "Eddie" Cosgrove Sr.; grandsons, Andy Cosgrove Jr. and Edward Adolf Cosgrove; brother, Freddie DeMont; and sisters, Mary Nichols and Dorothy Foy.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454 on Friday, December 8, 2023 from 9:00 am until 10:00 am with the Funeral Service beginning at 10:00 am.

Entombment will follow at Ponchatoula Cemetery Mausoleum in Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
