Cheryl Lindsey Boswell

Cheryl Christine Lindsey Boswell passed away at her home on Saturday, June 20, 2026, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 78. She was born on Tuesday, December 9, 1947, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to the late Ruth Singleton Highbaugh and Tom Lindsey. She was a resident of Hammond, Louisiana.

Cheryl was a private and quiet person who preferred a small circle of family and close friends. She was fiercely loyal to those she loved and treasured the relationships she had with them. Cheryl was a true lady and taught her daughter, Fara, the importance of good manners, kindness, and politeness. Cheryl enjoyed photography and loved creating graphic art on the computer. She also loved caring for her plants and spending time with her beloved cat, Bleu, who is already missing her. Some of Cheryl's happiest moments were the FaceTime calls she shared with her great-granddaughters. Seeing their smiling faces brought her immeasurable joy and brightened her days in a way only they could. Cheryl will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Cheryl is survived by her daughter, Fara Rene Allen; granddaughter, Anna (Bralynn) Sutterby and her husband, Caleb; great-granddaughters, Allie and Rylee Sutterby; brothers, Steve Lindsey and his wife, Vicki, and Mike Lindsey; cousins, Keith and Tammy Jo Street, Wanda and Elson Hingle, and Lindsay Hingle; as well as her best friends, Sue and Gene Dickerson.

Along with her parents, Cheryl was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Gordon Boswell, III; and beloved son, Brett Lindsey Boswell.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home and Crematory of Hammond and Ponchatoula.
