Cheryl Ann Branch Thornton

Cheryl Ann Branch Thornton, of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2019, at North Oaks Medical Center at the age of 63. She was born on January 5, 1956, in Pasadena, Texas

Cheryl is survived by her husband of almost 48 years, Johnnie Thornton; daughter, Kimberly Thornton Coyne and husband John "Bubba" Coyne; grandsons, Blake A. Thornton and Bret Coyne; mother, Rita Mae Prestenbach Branch; brother, Michael O. Branch; sister, Laura Hopkins; niece, Faith Wilson; nephew, Trey Begin; sister-in-law, Wanda Begin and husband Raymond Begin; as well as numerous other nieces and nephews.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her father, Hubert "Tex" Branch; son, Johnnie W. Thornton; brothers, Ricky and Randy Branch; and mother-in-law, Catherine Thornton.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 100 W. Magnolia St. Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Monday, May 6, 2019 from 1:00 pm until the memorial service begins at 3:00 pm.
