Charlotte Jeanine Swinney

Charlotte Jeanine Swinney was born in Hammond on February 8, 1944 and died on January 11, 2019.

She was an active member of Woodland Park Baptist Church.  She also enjoyed traveling and in her retirement she drove her personal vehicle to visit each and every one of the lower 48 states.

She was a member of the Jefferson Circle of Americans United, and of the Mather Legacy Society of the National Parks Conservation Association.  In addition she performed volunteer work for the Richard Murphy Hospice House in Hammond.

Miss Swinney was preceded in death by parents Winston and Hermine Lewis Swinney, by maternal grandparents Emmett and Bertha Lewis, and by paternal grandparents J. Marvin Swinney and Winona Swinney Todd.

A brief graveside service will be conducted by Rev. Tim Moffet immediately preceding burial in Greenlawn cemetery on January 15, 2019 at 4:00 pm.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Harry McKneely Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Woodland Park Baptist Church, Hammond, La.
