Charles William Norman III

Charles William Norman III, of Albany, Louisiana, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at the age of 80. He was born on August 5, 1946, in Curwensville, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Charles W. Norman Jr. and Theresa Norman Gennardo. Charles will be remembered as a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother whose love for his family shaped the life he lived. He found joy in simple and meaningful pleasures, especially fishing and woodworking. He loved spending time busy in his woodshop. He also dearly loved his dog, Little Bud. Charles will be remembered with love and missed deeply by all who had the blessing of knowing him.

Charles is survived by his son, Charles "Chip" Norman IV (Lanise); grandson, Gunner Norman (Lauren); great granddaughter, Kassandra Norman; sisters, Judy Covington, Mona Milton (Wyman), and Lucille Whittington.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Daisy Rayborn Norman; siblings, Leona Kinchen, Mabel Smith, Jackie Genco, William Norman Sr., and Nancy Sparks; and step-father Johnny Gennardo.

With gratitude, the family extends a special thank you to the nurses and physical therapists from Belle Maison Nursing Center for their care and support.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Saturday, October 3, 2026 from 9:00 am until the Funeral Service begins at 11:00 am.

Entombment will follow at Hoover Cemetery in Independence, Louisiana.
