Charles Glenn "Charlie" Brown

Charles Glenn Brown, of Maurepas, Louisiana, passed away on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at the age of 68. He was born on Thursday, October 2, 1952, in Bear Island, Louisiana. Charlie worked at Bill Hood Ford for over 30 years before opening Charlie's Restaurant which he owned for 22 years. He loved to cook, and bring friends and family together.

Charlie is survived by his wife of 32 years, Marla Brown; son & daughter-in-law, Kevin and Christina Bovia; grandchildren, Victoria Bovia, Cole Bovia, and Thomas Bovia; sister, Rosemary Mack; niece, Ronda and husband Grant Meadows; nephews, Gary Mack and wife Ashley Mack and Iwanoff Hano and wife Trydi Hano; great-nieces and nephews, Grant Meadows Jr., Micah, Ragen and Garrison Mack, and Blaize, Kalli and Karli Hano.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Julia Brown; step-mother, Juanita Brown; sister, Gloria Brown-Hano; brother, Raymond Ray Brown; brother-in-law, Michel Mack; and grandparents, Argille and Felice Brown, and Peter and Louise Picou.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Ponchatoula, 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454 on Sunday, May 16, 2021 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visitation will continue at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 22494 Highway 22, Maurepas, Louisiana 70449, on Monday, May 17, 2021 from 10:00 am until the Funeral Mass begins at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow at Maurepas Community Cemetery in Maurepas, Louisiana.
