Charles Eugene "Chuck" Jones, Jr.

Charles Eugene "Chuck" Jones, Jr., of Loranger, Louisiana, passed away at North Oaks Medical Center on Sunday, August 29, 2021, at the age of 59. He was born on September 13, 1961 in Houston, Texas. Chuck was an Orleans Parish Criminal Sheriff for 32 years and retired as a Major. He was a builder and handyman at heart, always with the mindset that if he needed something, he built it himself. Chuck would do anything for anyone, always looking out for his family and neighbors. He loved animals and owned a variety of them, and his lawn was always cut to perfection. Chuck was loved very much and he is dearly missed.

Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 11 years, Stephanie Moore Jones; children, Vincent Jones and Sherrie Watson (David); grandchildren, Brayden and Drew Watson; and father-in-law, Peter Moore.

He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Linda Moore.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Louisiana 70401 on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am.

A Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 am, with Fr. Mark Beard officiating.

Inurnment will follow at St. Dominic Catholic Church Cemetery in Husser, Louisiana.
