Charles C. Casanova passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2022, at his home in Holden, Louisiana, at the age of 80.  He was born on Friday, September 11, 1942, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He grew up in Metairie where he and his friends would often swim their horses in Lake Pontchartrain to the delight of travelers on the causeway. He later moved to Kenner where he raised his two sons with his late wife, Diane Carter Casanova.  He became a resident of Holden (Springfield) when he married Sindee Strickland of Baton Rouge in 1988. Charles was a retired carpenter who never lost his love of building.

He did it right and built it to last.

He loved quarter horses, enjoyed raising them, and took pride in conditioning each one to reach their potential.

Charles is survived by his wife, Sindee Casanova, and son, David Casanova of Loranger, LA. Sister in-laws, Darlene Casanova of Sanford, NC and Gwen Casanova of Metairie, LA

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edna Mae and William Xavier Casanova, a son, Robert B. Casanova, sister Leda Schwanner and brothers Herb, Jerry and Billy Casanova.

Charlie will be buried in Loranger Cemetery near where he had hoped to one day live on the old Casanova homestead.
