Cecilia "Cissy" Davis Grisham

Mrs. Cecilia "Cissy" Davis Grisham, 53 years old of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away  Friday, October 20, 2017, at North Oaks Medical Center.

She was born on Thursday, May 14, 1964, in Hattiesburg, MS, daughter of Jim Davis and Diane Hart Davis.

Cissy received her Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Mathematics as well as a Masters of Education degree in Special Education from SLU. She taught Special Education at Hammond High School for 25 years before retiring.

Surviving are her husband, Lee Earl Grisham, Jr., daughter, Melanie Lee Grisham, mother, Diane Hart Davis, father, Jim Davis, and grandmother, Lois Hart.

She is preceded in death by her son, Landen Grisham, sister, Michelle Davis, grandfather, Hoyle Hart, grandparents, Oren and Mercedes Davis, father-in-law, Lee Earl Grisham, Sr., mother-in-law, Alline Mauney Grisham, brothers-in-law, Billy, Bobby, and Benny Grisham, Jake Alfano, and Walter Scott.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Hammond.

Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday,  at 11:00 am, with Rev. Greg Griffin officiating.

Interment will follow in the Rose Memorial Park Cemetery Hammond, Louisiana.
