Carter N. Purvis Jr.

Carter N. Purvis Jr. passed away on Friday, February 10, 2023, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 68. He was born on Tuesday, April 6, 1954 in Independence, Louisiana to Clarity Tuttle and the late Carter N Purvis Sr. He was a resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana.

Carter is survived by his loving wife, Racheal Purvis, children, Ray Kimble (Ann), and Jason Kimble (Summer), mother, Clarity Tuttle, siblings, Donald Baker (Dawn), Steven (Lena) and Carol Chapman, 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his; father, Carter N Purvis , Sr.; son, Eric Purvis; as well as his siblings, Ronald and Baron Baker, Michael and Sharon Purvis.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home -  Ponchatoula, 100 W. Magnolia St., Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454, on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, 9:00 am - 11:00 am.

Interment will follow in Natalbany Cemetery, Independence, Louisiana.
