Carroll "Woody" Woodall

Carroll "Woody" Woodall, of Tickfaw, Louisiana, passed away at North Oaks Medical Center on Saturday, August 22, 2020, at the age of 79. He was born on April 1, 1941, in Tickfaw, the son of the late Claborne Woodall and Elizabeth Paxton Woodall. Woody proudly served his country as a veteran of the US Army stationed in Germany. He was a longtime member of Natalbany Baptist Church and worked for DuPont for over twenty years until he retired. Woody was known for being very friendly, warmhearted, and generous. He often took walks around North Oak Park at Southeastern, sometimes more than once a day. Woody loved sharing stories with people he met, and picking muscadines and mayhaws, to make jellies and jams to share.

Woody is survived by his daughter, Robyn Woodall, grandson, Garrett Woodall, great-granddaughter, Camella Woodall, brother, Pat Fuller, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Woody was also preceded in death by wife of 45 years, Peggy Chavers Woodall, sisters, Joanne Jones and Mamie Durand, and brother, Charles Woodall.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Sunday, August 30, 2020 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.

Face masks are now mandatory to attend any visitation or service at the funeral home. Thank you for your cooperation.
