Carolyn Sue Henry Addison

Carolyn Sue Henry Addison, of Independence, Louisiana, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at the age of 76. She was born on April 29, 1948, in Magnolia, Mississippi, the daughter of the late Ivy T. Henry and Alta Faust Henry. Sue earned her Master's Plus 30 degree in education from Southeastern Louisiana University. For nearly 30 years, she was a dedicated reading teacher and librarian at Albany Middle School. Sue was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, whose memory will be cherished forever.

Sue is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Raymond Addison; three sons, Todd Addison and wife April, Wilton Addison and wife Tracy, and Milton Addison and wife Lon; granddaughters, Amanda Addison and Lauren Addison; niece, Dava Teague; sister-in-law, Ethel Sibley and husband Wilton; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her three brothers, Ivy Lee Henry, Arthur Henry, and Rodney Bennett.

Family and friends will be received at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Thursday, April 17, 2025 from 8:30 am until 10:30 am, with a Funeral Service at 10:30 am, with Gene Hoyt officiating.

Entombment will follow at Bankston Cemetery 4th Ward in Independence, Louisiana.
