Carmello (Tom) Joseph Tiesi

 Carmello (Tom) Joseph Tiesi, age 82, of Chicago IL & Tickfaw LA, passed away on Saturday, September 7th, 2024 peacefully in his sleep at The Radcliff Senior Living Center in Wooddale, IL. Tom was born on August 14th, 1942 to Mike Tiesi and Josphine Tiesi (nee Valure) in New Orleans, Louisiana. Beloved Husband of 18 years to Rose Tiesi Walter (nee Rotolo) and Father of Eric (Jenny Adame) Tiesi, Melanie (Chad) Elliott, and Step-Father to Susan (Derek) Villarreal (nee Walter). Loving Grandfather of 3, Dominic Tiesi, Vincent Tiesi and Wyatt Villarreal.

 Tom grew up in Tickfaw, LA and at the age of 19 met Rose Rotolo. In 1963, Tom and Rose got Engaged and soon moved to Chicago, IL. Tom found work in the Chicago Rail Yards as a welder, and later went on to work for Oscar Meyer (22 years) and Nestle (15 years) as a Master Welder First Class Millwright. During those years you could always find Tom at the Diner Counter of the Blue Angel Restaurant on Milwaukee Ave in Chicago, where they all knew him as Cowboy. Tom retired from Nestle in 2008 and fulfilled his lifelong dream of building a home on his father’s land in Tickfaw. What a Character he was with his colorful jokes, and always making people laugh and smile, Tom was loved by all.
