The family would like to thank Donna Olivia and staff of Richard Murphy Hospice House and Barry Bankston of Egan Hospice for the special attention and care that was given. Carla was a special person and will be remembered by many. Carla was a loving, giving and very special person. She loved her husband and her three boys, Russell, Ronnie and Ryan more than life itself. As an educator and Assistant Principal, she was a mentor to many students and young teachers. They all loved her dearly and said her door was always open for them whenever they needed her both professionally and personal. She always had candy on her desk and treats for the children. She loved all the Holidays. She decorated her house and office for all of them. Birthdays were very special for Carla. There was always cake, chips, and dips at her house for the birthday celebration. It did not matter how old you were you would blow out the candles on your birthday cake at Carla’s house. Carla and Russell loved to entertain. They enjoyed the holidays and had Christmas parties for years. She enjoyed buying presents for her family and friends. She enjoyed giving and she always gave with a smile. She and Russell traveled a lot -- The beach, the mountains, Chicago, Hawaii, Europe and China. And you can bet you always got a little souvenir from one of her trips. She enjoyed cooking spaghetti for her family on Sundays; making Fig and Wine Cookies for Christmas with her friends and granddaughters; and making coffee for an evening visit for whoever stopped by. She enjoyed her trips to the Casino, and her dinner trips to Saritas. Carla Enjoyed life.

Face masks are now mandatory to attend any visitation or service at the funeral home. Thank you for your cooperation.
