Calvin Earl Stevenson passed away on Friday, May 3, 2024, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 68. He was born on Saturday, March 3, 1956, in Hazelhurst, Mississippi, to the late Loyce and Leonard Jack Stevenson. He was a resident of Loranger, Louisiana.
Calvin (Cowboy) is survived by his stepchildren, Crystal Trapp (Stacey Micheal) and Samantha Hall; siblings, Junior Stevenson (Robin), Leon Hall, Grover Hall, Cathy Hall-Hano (Bobby), Johnny Stevenson, Tommy Hall, Gayle Hall-Lewis, Robert Stevenson (Debra), Tony Hall, San Stevenson and Curtis Stevenson; grandchildren, TerriLynn (Kaden), Arizona Trapp, Brenleigh Chambers and Shayla Albers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Loyce and Leonard Jack Stevenson; Mom, Lola Stevenson; his significant other, Nickie Hall; sister-in-law, Carolyn Stevenson; and siblings Misty Stevenson, Terry Hall, Oneida Stevenson and Joe E. Hall.
Calvin enjoyed watching NASCAR, really, his TV was always on racing or some kind of car build show. If he wasn’t watching a race, he was dreaming of fishing. He was quick with a joke and he loved making you laugh. Cowboy had a knack for gift wrapping like no other, finding a $20 bill in a 2 pack of Reese’s always put a smile on your face. Calvin had many construction jobs throughout his life, but in the end, his favorite job of all was picking his niece Katlin Stevenson up from school every day.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, 2000 N. Morrison Blvd, Hammond, Louisiana 70401, on Thursday, May 9, 2024, 5:00 pm - 8pm. Visitation will continue Friday, May 10, 2024, 9:00 am, until services begin at 11:00 am.
Interment will follow in Loranger Cemetery
