Byron Carroll Grabert

Byron Carroll Grabert passed away on Friday, November 5, 2021, in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, at the age of 86.  He was born on Saturday, June 15, 1935 in Port Sulphur, Louisiana to the late Elsie Friemen Grabert and the late Alvin Grabert.  He was a resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana.

Byron was an avid fisherman and yachtsman. He was a hunter in his younger days, but boating was his lifelong passion. He had many adventures in paradise with his wife, Janice, for 40 years.

Byron is survived by his wife, Janice Berthelot Grabert; the mother of his children, Rosalind Grabert; children, Michael Grabert (Jessica), Charles Grabert (Darla), and William Grabert (Lili); step-children, Lane Disher and Deirdra Disher Haase (Andrew); grandchildren, Grant Grabert (Rebecca), Leah Grabert Fink (Andrew), Sunni Grabert, Samantha Grabert, Chazz Grabert, Brianna Crane, Hunter "Alex" Crane, and Lawson Disher; great-grandchildren, Nolan and Ángel; brother, Alvin Grabert, Jr.; niece, Patty Christy (Ray); and nephew, Richard Grabert.

In addition to his parents, Byron is also preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Chantel Disher.

Services for Byron will be private.
