Burton "Ray" Boihem

Burton “Ray” Boihem went to heaven on August 28, 2020 at theage of 86.  He was born in New Orleans,July 22, 1934, to the late Claude J. Boihem Sr. and Agatha A. Rome. Wassurvived by Mrs. Barbara Romano Boihem, his loving and devoted wife of a66-year marriage, and their 4 children Sandra Roper Simmons (Jack), JoyDesrochers (Larry), David Boihem (Julie), and “Rae-Rae” Rodriguez (Emilio). Hewas also survived by Grandchildren Robbie Jr., Larry Sr., Matthew Sr., Casey,Leslie, Victoria, and Faith; Step-grandchildren Wendy, Tarae, Kenny, Hannah,Rachel, Abigail, Maya, and Sofia; Great grandchildren Larry Jr., Robbie III,Ava, Gannon, Matthew Jr., and Dean; Step-great grandchildren Gavin, Saxon, andSofi. Brother of the late Claude Jr. “CJ”, Elroy “Buck”, Robert “Bobby” andSurvived by his sister Gail Boihem Strickland.  Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews,and friends. Ray became part of  CO.A127in 1953 with the Navy USNR-R for over 10 years, followed by a lifetime careerwith the New Orleans Fire Department along Engine No. 25/Ladder 7 & EngineNo. 9, retiring as a Captain after 24 years of service.
